How to measure tire circumference
How to measure tire circumference
You can get the circumference of your tires in two ways. Method one is used to quickly estimate the tire circumference, whereas method two requires a tape measure to obtain a more accurate tire circumference. Method two is recommended for improving the accuracy of your data.
Method 1
- Refer to the illustration and check the tire size on the side of the tire.
- Select the appropriate tire size in the speed sensor settings, and the tire circumference will be estimated automatically.
Method 2 (Recommended)
Tire circumference may vary for the same size as it is affected by rider weight, tire pressure, tire type, wear, and other factors. To reduce errors, please refer to the illustration and perform the following steps:
- Make a mark on the ground when the tire's air nozzle is precisely downward.
- Continue riding straight ahead until the air nozzle is facing downward again, then make another mark.
- Take the distance between the two marks to calculate the tire circumference.
- Manually enter the tire circumference value into the speed sensor settings.
